Here in the Northern Forest of New England, there aren’t a lot of rattlesnakes. But you may see some snakes on the trails. Here’s a garter snake that I saw on a rail trail I was running on with my dog, about a month ago. It let us get pretty close. I guess the cold weather meant it didn’t want to leave its warm, sunny spot.
